In case you haven’t heard the big news, WordPress 3.1 was released earlier this week. The latest update for the greatest website management platform is packed with new features. We are particularly excited about the new Post Formats. We are proud to say that we have tested all of our themes with WordPress 3.1 without any issues.
Organic Themes are fully compatible with the latest version of WordPress.
We encourage everybody to upgrade their WordPress platform. However, you should be aware that while our themes are compatible with WordPress 3.1, that doesn’t mean the plugins you are using are fully compatible. If you experience any issues after your upgrade, try deactivating your plugins to isolate the issue.
Introducing The News Theme!
Organic Themes is excited to announce the release of our latest theme, the News Theme! Check out the demo now. The theme is packed with content options, and offers a 3 column layout on the home page and category pages for optimum usage of advertising space. The News Theme features an abundance of widgetized sections within the theme, allowing for greater customization of content. The featured tab section on the home page is capable of displaying a brief content excerpt in addition to a featured image or featured video. Additional features include a news ticker, vertical style menu, several page templates and more.
A Year Of Organic Themes
Organic Themes is proud to announce our one year anniversary! In celebration of this milestone, we have redesigned our main website and brand. Needless to say, it’s been an extremely exciting year. We can’t thank our amazing customers enough for the success of our past year.
We designed our new site purposefully with a very clean approach. It was created to provide a better user experience, and to be navigated more easily than our previous site. We developed several custom post types to manage content more efficiently within the site — hopefully making it even easier to update with new content and themes. Several minor bells and whistles have been added to the design and development to really give it a polished feel. In addition, we have updated our showcase with several more examples of people using our themes!
Approaching Theme Design
Organic Themes was invited to speak at WordCamp Phoenix in January of 2011. Our presentation was on the subject of Approaching Theme Design. We were very excited about this opportunity, and would like to share our presentation from the conference.
