Photographer Theme Update

Photographer Theme v2

View DemoPurchase $69

My wife is a professional wedding photographer. I have the advantage of asking for her advice when designing a WordPress theme for photographers. As I understand it, most professional photographers don’t want giant versions of their images floating around the internet. While full screen photography themes look great, they’re generally not practical because they require such high resolution images that can be downloaded and printed. Rather than creating a full width photography theme, we decided to create something a bit more practical and elegant.

The Photographer Theme design was simplified with the most recent update, as seen in the demo. The updated minimal design brings the focus where it should be — to the images. Changing the logo, background, colors and images to match your brand is a breeze. Although the design was simplified, the theme itself has new options and features. The Photographer Theme now includes shortcodes and several social media options. The theme is responsive and retina optimized, so your photos will look extra crisp on any device.

We hope you enjoy these updates!

I have several different areas of photography like Travel and Portraiture and Food and need seperate portfolios for each – I can’t see how I can do this with this theme – is it possible to keep them as seperate folios ?

    Hello,
I really like this theme and it looks perfect for photographers. However, before buying it I would like to ask you if I can do the following.
Blog: can we put on the right or on the left a side bar to search for the recent posts, categories, calender etc? Or is only the archive available through the menu bar?

Blog: If I insert several images in a post, can we view them in a slideshow?

Portfolio: Is it possible to create subgalleries? Like Travel -> Asia -> Laos? And once we are in a gallery grid can we view the pictures with the slideshow? I did not find an example on the demo.

I understand that this theme is suitable for Ipad/Iphone?

Thanks you very much for your answers and let’s hope I can make this :) .
    Regards
    Céline

Is it possible to get the answer for Celine’s questions?

      Hi Celine,

      1. You can optionally display a right sidebar on the blog within the theme options.

      2. You can use a variety of plugins to display a slideshow on your blog.

      3. Yes, you can create subgalleries using the custom menu. However, if you are referring to a custom taxonomy, that would require customization.

      4. Yes, the theme is fully responsive for the iPhone and iPad.

      I hope this helps :)

      Thanks!

    Hello,

I purchased this theme but cannot get it on my WordPress site. How do I do this? Please help figure this out as right now I just feel like I wasted money. My WordPress is a purchased .com which I heard rumored the theme didnt work with? But what would be the point of having a .org?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Heather

    Hi David,
Is the homepage slideshow able to be resized to fit a 2:3 aspect ratio? Many homepage sliders I’ve seen on other themes seem to be locked to a 16:9 aspect ratio.

THanks, in advance. It looks like a gorgeous and elegant theme.

      Hi David,
Just wondered if you might have seen this…there are a couple other questions being asked her on this thread…
      Thanks!

        Hi Paul,

Please note that this isn’t really the best place to ask theme related questions (pre-purchase or support), but my apologies for the oversight regardless.

The slider can be re-sized with edits to the featured image size and (or) the stylesheet.

        Thanks!

    Hi there,

I’m having some trouble with the slideshow feature on Photographer.

Is it possible ti simple create a page, set the template to Slideshow, and then addd images from the media gallery?

If so, are there are any instructions on how this should be done. I am not seeing any images in the slideshow following these steps :(

      Hi Martin,

You will need to upload images to the page, rather than select from the gallery (even if they are already uploaded). We are aware this is less than ideal. For the future, please direct any support requests to organicthemes.com/support, or ‘support@organicthemes.com’.

      Thanks!

I’m having the same issue as @MartinCahill and have the same exact question. The sample “http://photomojomike.com/” is more or less what I’m trying to set my page up to look like, but the slideshow feature isn’t working. No side arrows, no transitions, nothing.

    Please help.

    Hi;
I have a problem with the menú when the theme is in mobile version (menú roll, in iPhone). I explain myself: when I’m in the “About” page, the menu says “home”, and for that reason, I can not get into “home” from the menu. That happens in all the pages. What should I do to solve it?
    thanks
